Kathleen M. Pike, PhD is CEO of One Mind, a global non-profit with three signature programs: the One Mind Rising Star Awards that support early-career investigators in neuroscience, psychiatry, and related disciplines who pursue research to advance the understanding, treatment, and prevention of mental illness; the One Mind Accelerator that backs visionary founders of early-stage startups with the network, education, and capital to rapidly build category-defining companies that improve the lives of people living with mental illness; and One Mind at Work that works with a growing coalition of leaders around the globe translating science to build workplace best practices that drive measurable impact on workforce mental health.

Dr. Pike is Professor of Psychology at Columbia University Department of Psychiatry
and Mailman School of Public Health. She is the Founder and former Director of
the Columbia-WHO Center for Global Mental Health, where she now directs the Mental
Health + Work Design Lab.

An advocate for global mental health, Dr. Pike’s many talks on the topic include the TEDxTokyo presentation, “Don’t Call Me Crazy.”

Kathy has consulted on strategic initiatives addressing mental health at work to numerous Fortune 500 companies worldwide, including Goldman Sachs/Asia Pacific, AXA Asia, Maybelline, and others.

A world expert in the field of eating disorders and Fellow of the Academy for Eating Disorders, Kathy is recognized for her cross-cultural work on risk factors and her leadership in the development of innovative, evidence-based treatments that help people recover their full quality of life. Kathy is also the host of a the podcast, Big Ideas In Eating Disorders. Capturing today’s wisdom for a better future, she talks with leaders in the field who share their ideas and stories as they have never been told before. 

Dr. Pike is the founder and President of the Global Fund for Mental Health, an organization that assists diverse mental health initiatives worldwide.

Kathy has written extensively on a range of mental health topics – including over 175 journal articles and book chapters for academic publications and her weekly blog, Five on Friday: Musings on Mental Health for the general public.

Dr. Pike is passionate about stewardship, and has been a mentor to scores of emerging professionals who will be the next generation of leaders in mental health globally.

Kathy serves on expert advisory boards and committees for AbleTo, Inseparable,
International Rescue Committee, Kids In Need of Defense, Mindful Philanthropy, The
Jewish Board, and APCO. She is past member and vice chair of the Johns Hopkins
SAIS Advisory Board.

Dr. Pike was awarded the 2021 American Psychological Association Award for Distinguished Contribution to the International Advancement of Psychology.

Kathleen M. Pike, PhD is a mother, ceramicist, retired marathoner, and cycling enthusiast. She’s also the doting keeper of thousands of honeybees and is studying to be a Master Beekeeper.
